the photo is awesome xD but I can't ignore the fact that no one's punches like that,
you have to shrink your finger, or you would break him xD
but the photo!! I love it fav+

...You do understand that Toph is a blind Earthbender and thus...bends the Earth to hit her enemies and never, ever actually strikes anyone with any part of her body, right?

I still don't understand you're point. You're saying my hands are wrong for punching someone...and I'm saying

1. This Pose isn't for punching anyone
2. Toph doesn't punch people.

And if you look closely you can see that the hand in the foreground is positioned perfectly to your liking. My thumb in the background is a little bit out of place but I'm not an animated character, nor am I perfect, and I'm not going to not upload a picture that I like just because my thumb isn't in the perfect position. 1- toph do punch people.

2- toph is in a fighting position... in whatever kind of fight, people should put the hands correctly

3- I was not offending you, but if you can't accept a critique, and if you don't want to know the opinion of other people so why do you publish your art?
I'm sorry but I thought that my opinion could help you in other photos, so you could get better and better. Your attitude was arrogant, I'm really sorry.
nothing more to say, so byebye

1 - Toph does NOT punch people. No one in avatar ever punches anyone EVER. That is not something that would be seen on Nickelodeon because that's imitable violence and thus: not suitable for a children's show which is what Nickelodeon was pitching Avatar as. Do your research if you're going to get into a debate with someone.

2 - First off, you know I'm not actually in a fight, right? And I'm sure you don't care, but this photo was taken what I as shooting a video in a wave pool, which means I was shifting and moving around. The photographer could have very well snapped this right as I was changing positions or as a wave hit me and thus I was off guard. Like I said, I'm not going to NOT post a picture because my thumb is out of place.

3- Deviantart as a "Open for Critique" option that you can select if you would LIKE people to critique your work. As you can see, I did not have that option selected. Especially because this Beach Version of Toph is not a costume I pride myself in. It's something I did for fun, not something I was taking seriously. If you take a look at other pictures I have off Toph I have a pretty good handle on her poses: [link]

Even all the way back in 2011 when I first started to cosplay her and my costume was awful my poses are still solid:

It's easy for someone to critique when they don't put themselves out there in the same way. Again, Cosplay is something I do for fun; it's not something I'm going to take that seriously because, let's be frank, it's a bunch of people dressing up in costumes. I love it, it's my favorite hobby, but if I told myself "No, can't upload that picture because {insert object here} is out of place, I would never be able to upload a picture ever--and when you spend over seven hours in a costume there's nothing worse than having nothing to show for it.

you talk too much...

But okay, I'm gonna try to make you understand one more time.

I said I had loved your work, however I did a critique, and you should take part of it.

incidentally, if you see Avatar, you will see that when Toph closes her hands, she closes them in the proper position.

however, I don't need to take photos or do cosplay to know about it. do you think that all the judges of idols can sing?!?!
You're taking a defensive position, you're just doing bad figure. and because of what? I've never insulted your art.

with all my respect, I'll end of this conversation

Goodbye

The base is just an actually hairband, the crown is craft foam and the dangly bits are just accessories from JoAnn's. In the upholstery section!
